Laetitia Donates $14,500 to Habitat Affordable Housing Work
San Luis Obispo, CA. July 26, 2016 — Laetitia Vineyard and Winery has joined Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County in its mission to provide and maintain affordable housing by donating $14,500 to Habitat! The Laetitia donation is part of their LTA Quattro Charity initiative through which Laetitia shares a portion of its sales from its Nadia Quattro special edition wine with selected San Luis Obispo charities. “As a sustainable vineyard and winery, we are always looking for ways to contribute to the sustainability of our community,” said President and Winemaker, Eric Hickey. “We’ve made many donations and contributions in the past but were very excited to give proactively to our community through Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo.” “We are deeply grateful to have been a beneficiary of Laetitia’s LTA Quattro program,” said Julia K. Ogden, CEO for Habitat for Humanity for SLO County. “This funding will help ensure that we can continue to assist our community’s low income members, particularly our senior residents, to live in safe, secure, and healthy homes.”
Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope by building new homes for low-income families in the County who purchase the homes through 0% interest home loans. To date HFHSLOCO has built 17 homes in San Luis Obispo County, and will be building 17 additional homes (9 in Paso Robles and 8 Arroyo Grande) in the near future. All Habitat homes are built with the family’s self-help (500 hours of sweat equity on the construction of their homes) and volunteer labor. HFHSLOCO is also very active in the County repairing homes currently owned by low-income residents, and with its neighborhood revitalization program to revitalize and stabilize low-income neighborhoods in Paso Robles and Oceano.
